Croft – post-event report

Its a long way to Croft for many, and NINE drivers made the trip to race in the Puma Cup. I was pleased to see the support is once again growing but the missing drivers are needed to help the Puma Cup Series grow more strongly. The event was Saturday based and I have had SIX genuine enquiries come in on and before the days leading up to this event.

The six Puma Cup cars made a good showing both on track and in appearance. Some casual enquiries also came in from drivers in other series when they learned about the cost effectiveness of the Ford Puma.

The qualifying 30 minute session would see some quick times, but it was the Puma car of Hamish Brandon and Rob Ladbrook who pipped Luke Johnson to grab the coveted Pole spot. Jon Attard led the pairing of Ian Scruton and Mike Hooper who in turn headed both Kevan Hadfield and the Davies brothers Iestyn and Dai.

The race was a good one for Puma Cup although a couple of cars seemingly fell foul of the pitlane speed limit. This is not the forum to comment but footage has been aired on social media which may leave some head being scratched?

The Chequered flag swathe winning Puma driven by Jon Attard who had a small lead over Luke Johnson  in 2nd place and he had the merest gap of 0056 of one second over the Brandon/Ladbrook Puma. This after 42 minutes racing.

Castle Combe is coming soon (13th August) and I would like to see more cars out please. I urge you to come out and support it.

Apologies, camera had intermittent fault so quality of some images are not as good as they could be. Kevin
